TUPAC: Ressurrection!
On September 7, 1996, Tupac Amaru Shakur was riding in the passenger side of a black 1996 BMW driven by Marion Suge Knight, executive producer and president of Death Row Records. Tupac and Suge had just finished watching Mike Tyson defeat Bruce Seldon at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tupac, who was ecstatic about Tyson’s victory, was standing up through the sunroof while the car was stopped at a traffic light on East Flamingo Road. A white Cadillac containing assassins armed with guns swerved quickly passed an entourage of Tupac’s allies, many of them bodyguards. Four unidentified men pulled alongside Suge’s car, fired 13 rounds, and sped away. In a panic, Suge slammed on the gas pedal, making a U-turn on Flamingo Road, racing west to Las Vegas Boulevard, makes a left turn and comes to a stop near the intersection of Harmon Avenue. No one gives chase and there were no witnesses on the street. Within minutes an ambulance arrives at the scene, and quickly rushes Tupac and Suge to the University Medical Center. Minutes after the ambulance’s departure, over 20 Las Vegas police officers arrive, to examine the crime scene and to perhaps question any witnesses. This case never had any logical suspects to the murder
