Organic Compounds
Organic compounds are the basis of life on earth. The purpose of this attempt is reflect the importance of these compounds that make up life on earth. A wide variety of classes of substances, such as drugs, vitamins, plastics, natural and synthetic fibers, as well as carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, nucleotides and water make up the organic compounds. Any compound of carbon and another element or a radical is known as organic compound. Drugs like aspirin, acids like citric acid and venoms like cyanide and salt acids like azides are all made up of carbon and another element.
Aspirin is an analgesic anti-inflammatory drug (trade names Bayer and Empirin) usually taken in tablet form; also used as an antipyretic. The acetyl ester of salicylic acid, also known as 2-(acetyloxy)-benzoic acid and acetylsalicylic acid. Aspirin is prepared by acetylation of salicylic acid with acetic anhydride.
