Green Party
Twenty years down the road from now, will such harsh enviromental struggles still be an issue in America? Not with a green party canidate elected as president of the United States. The Green party focuses mainly on enviromental issues and branches off of a deep democratic party. Thier slogan: " We do not inherit the Earth from our parents, we borrow it from our children" amplifies the enviromental concern of the green party. We must learn to organize the strategies used in our economy to savour our natural resources, such as oil. The waste and the destruction of nature will not nearly affect our society as harshly as our children's. Green party members do not look at the short term goal of survival but at the long term goal of future lives that are yet to be lived.
A grassroot democracy is an accurate way to describe the ideals of the green party. They strongly believe that every human being deserves the right to participate in all governmental decisions that would have an affect on thier lives. Still, even today there is prejudice against age, race, sex, class and disability. The green party hopes to abolish such inequality that lurks among the United States.
