Politicians: True Public Servants

They are frequently away from their families. Politicians are also under tremendous pressure knowing their decisions can have monumental impacts on society. To cap it all off, politicians must tolerate the endless ridicule and judgment cast upon them from their opponents as well as the public. When you add up all these factors, it's a wonder as to why anyone would want to get involved in politics. The only logical reason is that they really care. All politicians want what is best for their city, county, state or country. Sure, sometimes it may seem like a certain party or elected official are slowinghindering the well being of the people they serve. However, we must remember that everyone and every political party has their own opinion and definition of what is "best". Just because you disagree with a party or leader does not make them "crooked". They are simply doing what is "best" for the public in their opinion. We all have our own views on what is ideal for the country and should not judge those who disagree so harshly.
