The 15th Amendment
The 15th amendment was adopted on February 3rd 1870. It was proposed in 1869. It said “ The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by State in account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.” It also gives the congress the power to enforce the amendment.
