The article “Jeffrey Dahmer, Cannibal”, written by Angie Cannon, portrays one man’s life. He is infamous for the numerous murders he committed, predominantly the ways in which he perpetrated them. He is notorious for the monstrous ways he slaughtered his victims. He saved the skulls and other various body parts of the victims in his fridge and a freezer. He would drill holes into his victims’ heads and later had sex with the decomposing bodies. In writing “Jeffrey Dahmer, Cannibal”, Cannon intended to prove the decadent behavior of Dahmer. The point Cannon tries to make evident in the article states the following: “Over 13 years, mostly through the excessive 1980s, Jeffrey Dahmer, alone in his poisoned world, was monstrous, repulsive, depraved.”
Cannon begins her opening paragraph by revealing a brief history of Jeffrey Dahmer. She generally focused on Dahmer’s way of life and the way he treated his victims before and after their deaths. Cannon states: “In his putrid, one-bedroom apartment in Milwaukee, he saved painted skulls and severed heads, including one stashed in the fridge next to a box of baking soda.
