What promises? Do these promises apply to everyone? The argument of this book is God enters our world in ways we can understand. But do we understand? In the Old testament God did in fact come within the boundaries of our human experience. Our human experience include our own personal, intimate experience, and the experience we gain in society; from the aspects of right and wrong, the truth, with knowledge. The past experience of the Old Testament gives us a general idea of who God is , the general idea of his presence, and the action He chooses with His chosen people. These chosen people had their experience with God and produce a deep influence in their lives, as well as in our lives; which changes our way of thinking; either positive or negative.
