Abstract The difference between masculine and feminine attributes regarding preference for math and english was investigated. The 24 participants (22 females and 2 males) were students taking a psychology course at a major university. The Implicit Association Test (Greenwald, McGhee, & Schwartz) was given to participants to see what their attitudes were in english and math. In this study we were expecting to see feminine attributes associating negatively toward math relative to english on implicit measures. The Bem Sex Role Inventory (Bem, 1981) was given to the participants to characterize their personalities as feminine or masculine. There were no significant correlations regarding masculine and feminine attributes with math and english.
