    Sports Psychology Competition in Sports This article focuses on sports psychology, more specifically, on competition in sports. It is necessary to play sports and exercise to remain healthy, and it is fun too. From early childhood, people have a need to compete and to show their skills and abilities to others. By playing sports from a young age, children develop psychological and physical skills and also learn to cooperate with others. Those who participate in team sports, both children and adults, learn to handle their competitiveness and at the same time discard social, religious, ethnic, and economic differences in order to work together as one whole team towards a single goal, the success of the group.
