Going back to September 11, 1973: Are we main or secondary characters in our history?
Chilean history, although recent if we compare it to European countries, is full of different issues that have affected us. However, we tend to think that if those historical issues occur during a period of time which is different from the one we are experimenting, we are not even secondary characters. In other words, if we do not directly participate of remarkable issues, our memory works neither to analyze them nor to feel identified with that period of time. So, the question is the following: how important is it for us, as young Chilean people, to remember issues that happened thirty years ago? That is the case of the military revolt, which took place on September 11, 1973, and which year after year became, more than a dictatorship, a nightmare for several
