I Have a Dream
"I Have a Dream" by Dr. Martin Luther King is a superiorly written and moving speech, because it plays on the reader's sense of fairplay and their emotions. Dr. King describes his dream with such vigor and attention to detail that the reader cannot help to see and seriously consider Dr. King's point of view. Using captivating words and phrases Dr. King grabs the reader's attention and holds it until the end.
“Five score years ago, a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand the Emancipation.” Dr. King always recognized the power of words. He was a very powerful and profound speaker. “ With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.” He had a great impact on people whose lives were touched by his. He inspired young blacks and made them fight for their right for their freedom. People took his dream to be their dream and different people from all walks of life saw this dreamer (King) as the conscience of the whole nation.
