German Stereotypes
Some of the most common stereotypes of Germans are their physical attributes. Many picture blonde haired children with blue eyes. If imaging the adults a picture of a tall, muscle man may come to mind. Although it may not be related to the physical appearance, but it is commonly thought that Germans live on sausage and sauerkraut. It would seem that Germans are also pictured wearing the traditional Bavarian dress of lederhosen. The short leather pants reaching just to the knee, decorated with embroidery and supported with straps across the shoulders. Germans are also thought of as arrogant which may stem from there renowned engineering skills.
