I have always liked the Back to the Future Movies. It wasn’t Michael J. Fox’s
boyish grin or the nifty image of the future that intrigued me but, rather, what could one
do if one could time travel? Think of the power! In 2002, the Weekly World News
reported the discovery of a time traveler. A man claimed that he had traveled back in time
to 2002 because he felt this was the best time to make money in the stock market.
W.W.N. also reported that he was able to make approximately $280 million dollars in a
very short time based on his stock ‘history’ books. The man was described as being
apologetic, admitting he just got carried away. He said he had intended to make enough
money to live more comfortably in the future and then return. When the man was
apprehended he insisted he didn’t need the cash, he just wanted to get back to his time
machine. Police were unconvinced and refused to release him. Officials believe he was
privy to insider information. Arguing for the time traveler‘s story, W.W.N. claims they
have performed background searches but they have been unable to find any history of this
