· FACTS:
The title of the novel is Heave and the author is Christy Ann Conlin. The novel was published by the company DOUBLEDAY CANADA, in Canada in the year 2002 and was copy-written in 2002, too.
The jacket of the book is weird, it is pink and beige, it has a picture of a gothic woman with her mouth open, and in the right hand it has a black-white picture with a door and grass. In the front it has the title of the book, a quote form Lynn Coady and the author’s name; Then in the back cover it has the same black-white picture and two more quotes. This book belong to a female genre.
· INTRO:
The setting of the novel is in this modern years, I would say that all that happened last year. The physical location is hard to explain because Serrie used to be in different places, sometimes she was in Nova Scotia, in the street, in London and she had so many memory loops, that made the story confuse and difficult to understand. The setting was very important to this novel because that helps you to understand it better, I mean, you can detect the character’s feelings easier if you now where they are setting.
