Klinefelter
Klinefelter's Syndrome is a genetic disorder in which males do not develop secondary sexual
characteristics. One in five hundred to one thousand of male babies can be born with Klinefelter's
Syndrome. The cause of this is when the male has an extra X chromosome instead of normally
just one X and one Y chromosome. This becomes known as the XXY syndrome. Other males
may have an extra Y chromosome or more than two X and Y chromosomes. These males with
more than one extra chromosome have severe symptoms, which includes metal retardation.
It is hard for males with Klinefelter's Syndrome to be aware of the fact that they are
diagnosed with it. It usual goes undiagnosed until the male begins puberty. During this time
