Falsities in the Movie Twister
In today’s day and time people are fascinated by the violence of nature and as a result many movies have been made depicting this violence. The movie known as Twister depicts Mother Nature in a destructive way both emotionally and physically. Lives are lost and homes destroyed as tornados touch down in the mid west. After viewing the movie, some may believe what was shown to be a portrayal of reality, and what happens when dealing with or around tornados. However, many instances in the movie are found to be false in real life. Through the rest of the paper, the movie Twister will be analyzed, allowing the exaggerations, and the falsities to come to light.
The movie depicts many falsities, one in which the way the debris is sucked in to the tornado. In the movie objects or debris is flung out of the tornado some of which includes farm vehicles, an eighteen wheeler oil truck, animals, and even houses. According to the National Weather Service, it is a fact that a tornado does not fling debris or objects out of its funnel. But instead sucks what ever is in its way into its funnel and only discards of it when the actual tornado dissipates. Another discrepancy found in the sucking in and
