Indo-Europeans
Jerry H. Bentley, of the text, Traditions and Encounters: A Global Perspective on the Past, defines the Indo-Europeans as a, “Series of tribes from southern Russia who, over a period of millennia, embarked on a series of migration from India through western Europe; their greatest legacy was the broad distribution of Indo-European languages throughout Eurasia” (G-4). The Indo-Europeans played a huge role in the historical development of various parts of the Near East and India. The Indo-European migrations affect the lives and social structures of many that they encountered. The Indo-Europeans were responsible for the re-innovation of war chariots and the refining of iron metallurgy. The Indo-Europeans fabricated the Caste System, a world wide system used to maintain order and sustain structure. All and all, Indo-Europeans have profoundly impacted the world with its existence and contributions.
Thirty centuries ago the Fertile Valley’s populace consisted of Egypt, Babylon, Assyria and Phoenicia; with time this society of races became bromidic and old. In lieu of this happening, the Indo-European race rose into power. The new race of people took over Europe and made itself the ruling force of today’s British India
