He took pride in what he did (which is obvious) and would often remain outdoors in harsh climates for hours on end to achieve the result he wanted. Through sheer talent and dedication, though, Stieglitz was able to accomplish this goal and more. It is an interesting side note that Stieglitz was the man who discovered Georgia O'Keefe, one of the most prominent painters of the 20th century (Bry).
