Tartuffe Yes, I like the comedy of Tartufee by Moliere. I thought the play was funny and is was something that everyone could relate too. I am sure we have all known people who are religious hypocrites. Moliere’s purpose was to mock a religious hypocrite in such a manner that the society of his time could be enlightened to his own passion with religion. I have met several people like that because they go to church or because they know a lot of the Bible or because they have had certain spiritual experiences than others that they are better than everyone else.
