Harriet Tubman
Harriet Tubman was born in the Brodas plantation. As a child her name was Minty. Minty stayed with her mother until she was six. Minty didn't have to big of an idea who she was and what her purpose was. All she knew is that she was at a plantation, a slave, and almost old enough to be hired out. Minty had no idea what her later life would lead too. Throughout the cabins she heard means of escaping slavery and living free. Minty always loved hearing stories of the such, and was interested in the idea.
As a child Minty played with the other children, stayed close to her parents, and did as any other child would do. Minty was always very smart, good at understanding, and interested in things her elders would talk about. At the age of six Minty was hired out. Minty was very scared of the idea, for she would be leaving her home. Minty had about four families she had been hired out to. The first was ok, the second made her do jobs she
