Nat Turner
Have you heard of the expression, “God works in mysterious ways”? Well he does. I have chosen the “Confessions of Nat Turner”. And in these confessions, Turner reveals that God led him to bring judgement against the white slave owners because of the institution of slavery. He had a vision in which “white spirits and black spirits engaged in battle, and the sun was darkened – the thunder rolled in the heavens, and blood flowed in streams . . .”
Nat was born a slave. At an early age he showed great signs of intelligence. Reading and writing almost came to him naturally. His mother and grandmother recognized natural marks on his face and body. Those marks revealed spiritual meaning, he was to serve a purpose, that purpose was to serve the lord.
Nat became a prophet for the lord. He did not cheat,
