Within the last few months, Chicago’s city council approved a resolution to be sent to Congress, which recommends that Congress allow for slave reparations to be paid to descendants of slaves. With the debate coming back into the spotlight, I would like to use this forum to present my personal view on the issue. Slavery is now considered by the majority of the country to be immoral.
