There are two films in which we viewed in the first segment of our course which I felt dramatized the difficult rite of passage from innocence and idealism to reality and experience. The two films are, “Shadow of a Doubt”, which illustrates this concept through the character Charlie, and also, “The Outsiders” in which I felt that Pony boy serves as the best example, although each and every one of the boys will have to experience the same loss of innocence.
