The organization “The Order of the Star” was established in 1911 by a group of Theosophists in Holland, proclaiming that Jiddu Krishnamurti was to be the new body of Maitreya, or some kind of Twentieth Century Messiah. Krishnamurti later dissolved the Order of the Star in a speech he gave after his enlightenment in 1929 in front of three thousand members, while many Dutch listened on the radio.
