Martin Luther and the Jesuits
Towards the beginning of the Rennaissance, a new idea swept the idea of Christianity as a whole called Protestantism. This new idea, formed by Martin Luther seperated its followers from the Catholic Church, which at the time was the only option for Christianity. After reading Martin Luther's reasons for disbanding from Catholicism, Christians were forced to take sides. In the "Justification's by Faith" and "Constitution of the Society of Jesus," it is made clear the differences and the tones of the two groups.
In Martin Luther's "Justification of Faith," he makes it apparent that his has come across a profound discovery amplifying the practice of faith over good deeds. Taking the expression of "the justice of God," (The Age of Reformation - P.32) Martin comes to the conclusion that by justice St. Paul did not come to mean the punishment by God upon sinners, but rather by justice Paul meant the "righteousness by which through grace and sheer mercy God justifies us throug
