The various themes of George Orwell’s Animal Farm are rather lucid to understand. Most have a relevance to the Russian Revolution as well as its political leaders. As an interpretation of Orwell's novel, TNT made an Animal Farm video that depicted the story through the eyes of Hollywood. In George Orwell's book Animal Farm, compared to TNT’s video, themes such as communism, corruption by power and manipulation are insufficiently portrayed, however, they both depict themes such as technology and revolution. In the novel, communism is a theme that shows Orwell’s intent to criticize the communist governments as he saw it spreading throughout Russia. He uses the farm as a symbol of this government system. The animals never really grasped the idea that their leader was gaining complete control. Orwell states, "Nobody stole, nobody grumbled over his rations, the quarreling and biting and jealousy which had been normal features of life in the old days had almost disappeared." () And that "Somehow it seemed as though the farm had grown richer without making the animals themselves any richer— except, of course, for the pigs and the dogs."
