Aerosmith

    They may be old, but they still know how to rock! Call them what you like, icons, idols, legends; we all know who they are. Aerosmith is one of the greatest American rock groups of all time. So how was such a legend ever brought to life? Well, to start off, the band began when Steven Tyler met Joe Perry. Joe was currently working in an ice cream parlor in his hometown of Sunapee, New Hampshire (“Aerosmith”, N/A). Soon afterwards, they gathered up the rest of the band, Tom Hamilton, Brad Whitford, and Joey Kramer (“Band-Aerosmith Bio”, N/A). They played their first gig together at Nipmuc Regional High School (“Aerosmith”, N/A), which turned out well for beginners. Now, it came to the point that they needed a name, and they soon came up with Aerosmith, after turning down such names as Hookers (“Aerosmith”, N/A). They took a big chance in 1973, and released their self-titled debut album. After going no where, they tried again in 1974 with their album ‘Get Your Wings’ (“Band-Aerosmith Bio”, N/A); and soon again on April 3, 1975, with ‘Toys in the Attic’ (Zarkowski, 18).
