Choosing a Career Lawyers

Law School that are approved by the American Bar Association now require law student to take the LSAT (116). Someone interested in getting a law degree with have to have completed a minimum of three years in law school (Top 100 201). After getting a college degree and graduation from an American Bar Association law school, it is possible to take the bar examination (America's Top Jobs for College Graduates 49). Before practicing law it is required for the person to be licensed to the law established by that jurisdiction (49). Although there is a lot of schooling and extra work involved in becoming a lawyer, the opportunities that lie ahead and the benefits that the job has, outweigh the work required to become a lawyer.

The common stereotype of lawyers, they spend all of their time in the courtroom, is not entirely true. Many lawyers spend most of their time in law libraries and offices (OOH 115). An attorney's job is to make the laws known to their clients (ECVG 384). They also have the ability to make wills, mortgages, and contracts for their clients (384).
