When doing any high danger tasks, safety is a major issue. Whether it be flying planes, space shuttles, being in a submarine, or even working on an oil rig, safety is important. In this summary of the article “Get Out Now!” in Popular Science (October 2003), I will explain the advancements we have made in ejection systems.
When you think of ejecting the first thing that comes to you mind is planes. In the early days of planes a pilots only option if his plane was shot was to jump. Later on parachutes were developed, all though crude and not very effective. As time passed, cushions were placed in the seats
