Fantastic Voyage Summary The story starts off with the shooting down of an UFO over the Caspian Sea where Vasili Garamov, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia discovered a pod with an alien in it. Garamov decides to send the pod to his friend in the U.S., Felix Hunter, who runs a science team called Project Proteus that specializes in miniaturization techniques and research. Project Proteus has only a day to do all of their work and research before they have to return the pod to the Russian Government.
