Freedom To Kill
In the novel, Freedom to Kill by Paul Lindsay, there were five topics that were explored. The most important topic that was explored was terrorism. Basically the whole novel is about terrorism and how an FBI agent single-handedly tried to stop it. The terrorist portrayed in the novel gave the whole country a warning in the newspaper that read: “ ‘The life span of a democracy is 300 years; 100 years to build, 100 years to enjoy, and 100 years to destroy. America is well into its third hundred years and disastrously ahead of schedule. This has happened because you have become so immune to freedom that you are unable to enjoy its pleasure or mourn its loss. There can be no democracy without freedom for every man. You are no longer capable of maintaining or deserving such independence, so someone must assume leadership. It has become my duty to reverse history’s course. I will deploy any tactics necessary to accomplish this mission. Take a moment to look around and witness freedom’s last dance. You have two weeks to comply’.” (Pg. 30)
