Environmental Depletion
Did you ever put in to thought how simple it is to deplete our environment? Take a deep breath and imagine you’re waking up to any normal day. You get up, take a shower, get ready, and then drive off to school. Just alone, in those tasks you could have possibly overused water, emitted CFC’s in to our O-Zone, contributed to smog, acid rain, and global warming! When it comes to pointing the finger at someone, I think it’s the average person’s daily routine that is overlooked – not everyone’s, but our lazy American society. Think about the things you do every day that affect someone or something somewhere in the world. Our lazy, every day habits are slowly but quickly obliterating the only place we call home: planet Earth.
Let’s analyze an average morning for example. How much water do you overuse when showering? What clothing brands are you proudly wearing that may have been produced in sweatshops? Cars are the largest single source of carbon dioxide, which is by far the most prevalent global warming gas (Jeff Nesmith); United States weather is the most active in the world and it’s getting worse. What would you do if you were told that you’re partly responsible for destroying an entire forest of trees,
