Mario the Magnificent

    shoots, he scores! Mario Lemieux has been a hockey hero ever since he was drafted to the Pittsburg Penguins in 1984 and brought the Penguins from a losing team to a winning team. He started his hockey career with a goal in his first shift and on his first ever shot in the NHL. He led the Penguins to 2 Stanley Cups in 1991 and 1992. During the 1992-1993 NHL hockey season Mario was diagnosed with Hodgkins Disease and had to undergo treatment for the disease and came back and continued to lead his team.
