A Little Night Music

    Stephen Sondheim’s A Little Night Music is the story of a mismatched couple finding their way to their true loves, and a married couple finding their way back to themselves. Throughout the story there is a variety of twists and turns that make the story sometimes humorous, at times sad, but always entertaining. The story begins as a very tangled, sexual, web that the characters keep weaving until the truth is revealed in the end. A Little Night Music carries us to a magical summer night set in a Swedish countryside, at the turn of the 20th century. The magic comes from the presence of the old, Madame Armfeldt, and the young Fredrika, her granddaughter. The story consists of a middle-aged lawyer, Fredrik Egerman, and his teenage trophy bride, Anne, with whom he has never had sexual relations in spite of the fact that they have been married for eleven months. They live with Fredrik’s son, Henrik, from his first marriage, who is only one year older than Anne.
