Vincent Van Gogh

    Vincent Van Gogh and “Starry Night” Vincent Van Gogh was born near Brabant; his father was a minister. In 1869, he got a job as an art dealer for Goupil and Co. which is located in The Hague. After, he taught school in England. In 1877, Van Gogh went to Amsterdam University to learn how to become a minister. Van Gogh failed at his first attempt of becoming a minister so he decided to work independently. Van Gogh was mostly a self-taught painter. In the beginning, he painted pictures that were meant to represent a poor life style.
