“The Lady, or the Tiger” By Frank R. Stockton

To decide which the princess chose there is evidence that showed why she could of chosen either door.

The princess could of chosen the door with the tiger because she wanted to be selfish and didn't want the woman in the other door to be married to her love. In the story the girl behind the door was "one of the farest and loveliest of the damsels of the court who had been selected as the reward of the accused youth; and the princess hated heraE. The princess would rather see her lover dead because she was a "semi-barbaric princessaE like her father. The "intensity of the savage blood transmitted to her through long lines of wholly barbaric ancestors, she hated the woman who blushed and trembled behind that silent dooraE. The princess could of chosen the door with the tiger because she was inhuman and she was very jealous of the woman behind the door.
