The Meaning of Creation in the Image of God To be created in the image of God can mean different things to different people. Some people take this to mean that we are created to physically look like God while others interpret this to mean that God created the soul of man in his image. Also, there are others that believe this to mean that man is to rule over the creatures of the earth just as God rules over mankind.
