    Topic #1 Toni Morrison’s Sula puts forth many aspects of truth that are revealed throughout the storyline. These truths are demonstrated in the courses of actions displayed by characters of the novel. The truths of good and evil are portrayed in many different ways as one of the most dominant themes in a way to reveal corresponding realizations to characters and to the reader. The complex issues of morality in ordering and focusing personal experience behind individual ideas of the concept of good and evil is an intricate part to understanding this prevailingly revealed truth. This dominant theme of revealing truths regarding the issues of good and evil is shown by Morrison to be a model for ways in which people can learn by experience, the issues of morality, and is important because in turn they are able to comprehend a corresponding freedom. In beginning to notice the ways in which morality issues of truth are dealt with throughout the storyline, one of the first examples comes about in the ways by which Nel is raised.
