The article is stating that the California Superior Court Justices overturned the earlier appeal to keep the encryption code for DVD’s off the Internet. The justices believe that the code is covered by the trade secret rights and therefore not entitled to the free speech amendment of the constitution. They further state that anyone who posts that type of code is stealing trade secrets from companies. Many of the bigger companies like Boeing Co., Ford Motor Co. and AOL Time Warner Inc. sided with the DVD association. The case was centered around a guy who was just trying to let people watch DVD’s on their computers. He wasn’t trying to steal trade secrets or make any money.
