James E. Stuart mainly known as J.E.B. was a well-known Confederate Commander in the 1800’s. He was known as J.E.B. because his full name was James Ewell Brown Stuart, even though it is not mentioned a lot. He was born on February 6, 1833 at Patrick County, Virginia and died on May 12, 1864 at Yellow Tavern, Virginia. He was originally educated at home, then he attended Emory College and Henry College from 1848 to 1850. In 1851 he entered West Point, and ended up graduating thirteenth in his class.
After Stuart’s graduation, new experiences started before him. He was appointed 2nd lieutenant in the Mounted Rifles. Then, in the following October, He was sent to Texas
