Ants Life

    Many people consider ants a nuisance, but an ant’s life is a little more complicated than it looks. An ant has four stages. It is born as an egg they usually one mm long, but the queens egg is much larger. The eggs are taken cared by the older ants called worker ants. As it gets older it becomes a larva the larvae is worm-like they have no eyes and no legs. They eat food regurgitated by worker ants. The larvae molt shed their skins many times as they increase in size. After reaching a certain size, the larva spins a silk-like cocoon around itself against a solid object, like the chamber walls and pupates. This is the pupa stage. The pupa emerges as an adult.
