Van Gogh
Van Gogh was born March 30, 1853 in Groot Zundert, Netherlands, which is south of Holland. Vincent was the second born in his family. Before him his mother gave birth to a stillborn child, who was also named Vincent that she buried in the front yard. This is believed to play a huge part in his depression and growing up in general. Vincent Van Gogh loved to take walks and read. He was considered as kind of a loner. His father was a minister as was he after becoming a schoolmaster in England. He failed at getting a job as a minister therefore, moved and taught himself art. In 1869 Vincent got a job working for an art dealership, and this gave him his introduction into the art world. He later moved to London in 1873 where he continued to be a successful art dealer. While in London he visited many galleries and museums. After many set backs in his life Van Gogh still pursued his love for art. His cousin Anton Mauve helped his pursuit by introducing him to watercolors. Anton and Vincent’s brother, Theo, were probably the most influential people in getting him started. Van Gogh started to have many successful and well liked paintings yet, his personal life was still in turmoil. He had many failed relationships with women
