Teen Violence
Teen violence has not always been as prevalent in society as it is today. However, teen violence is a serious and rapidly growing problem in America. From the horrible incident that occurred at Columbine High School in Colorado, to the everyday incidents of youth violence, it is apparent that the problem of teen violence is definitely growing and not shrinking at all. Studies have shown that there are several possible contributing factors that lead young people to violent behavior.
One major problem that faces children growing up in America is today's media bombardment. Children growing up in today's media bombarded society are learning all the wrong things at all the wrong times. Crime can become a way of life to adolescents. Predominately all teenagers, and even kids, look up to drug dealers, admire rock stars and imitate robbers. Television, the media and music are all distorting the rules of society. The worst part is that these are the most influential things in a youths' life. Instead of what would have been back in the 80's, an innocent game of catch with their fathers, children are nowadays inside watching a murderer or a terrorist blow up thousands of people. To top it off, the news even makes the act
